Joseph R. Mezher
Joseph R. Mezher is a personal injury attorney who represents individuals and families facing serious injury, wrongful death, and catastrophic loss. Since beginning his legal career at Mezher Law, Joseph has focused his practice on personal injury litigation, handling complex cases involving medical malpractice, severe motor vehicle crashes, nursing home neglect and bed wounds, dog attacks involving children and facial injuries, and wrongful death claims.
Joseph’s approach to personal injury law is practical and direct. He prepares cases thoroughly, advocates forcefully, and prioritizes clarity and honesty with his clients. He does not believe in exaggeration or overpromising results. Instead, he focuses on building strong cases through careful investigation, detailed medical and factual analysis, and clear communication at every stage of the process.
Over the course of his practice, Joseph has worked on a wide range of high-stakes injury cases, including catastrophic truck and motorcycle accidents, serious hospital and medical negligence claims, and nursing home cases involving preventable bed wounds, falls, malnutrition, and wrongful death. He has also developed significant experience handling dog bite cases, particularly those involving children and severe facial injuries, where the long-term physical and emotional consequences are often underestimated.
Joseph has helped secure millions of dollars in recoveries for injured clients and families. Just as important, he has successfully addressed complex subrogation and lien issues, reducing medical reimbursement claims to protect clients’ net recoveries. As the youngest child of Founding Partner Attorney Kathleen Mezher, Joseph grew up around the values that have defined Mezher Law for decades: integrity, accountability, and client-centered representation. He is committed to carrying those values forward while continuing to expand and strengthen the firm’s personal injury practice.
Joseph earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2018, his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 2015, and is a graduate of St. Xavier High School. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
He is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, and the Ohio Bar Association.
